motor shakes heavily was created by Mike
Hello friends here:

We bought controller AX500, when we connect tachometer under close
loop mode, during adjustment of the speed the motor shakes heavily, but
when the speed reaches the maximum, the motor stops shaking, when
the motor stops, it does not shake and can be locked. All the wiring is according to instruction book.
Kindly pls. explain for above, thanks in advance.

Best rgds, Mike

Make sure you change the PID settings. The default values may result in unstable loop.

To start, set D to 0, P to a very low value (or 0). I is generally sufficient to close the loop in speed mode. Adding P (and D) will make it more responsive but eventually add instability.

Hello Cosma,

Thanks for the answer, I tried as your suggestion, it did not shake when
we adjusted the speed, but the motor could not be locked well, the locking
function is very small. In my application, I need the speed of motor can be adjusted and can have good locking function, but it does not shake, how can I realize it?

Thanks and best rgds, Mike

You need to try different values for the PID.

Start first with the I, leaving the others at 0. Try different values until you get the best value for you. Then start increasing the I. D can probably be left at 0.
