AX2850 Problem! was created by Jamal
We are using the AX-2850 to drive 2-DC Motors, the 2 channels behaves in one direction with normal operation while the reverse direction has a
2 seconds period of working time (it turned off after about 2 second from the run command). The tests was in OPEN LOOP OPERATION MODE. Already, we upgrade the firmware to latest beside the last version of the PC RoboRun SW.
Note: There is another AX-2850 working perfectly on the same moters in similar test with the same RoboRun configuration.

We have no explanation for the problem you describe.
If you can, replace the misbehaving controller with the one that works. If the working one also misbehaves, this would point to a problem with the encoders and/or wiring. If it works well, then the controller is bad and you should contact us for repair.

The fact that it would stop after a second might indicate that the watchdog is enabled. Try resetting the controller's default parameters (press and hold the Prog & Set buttons as you reset, until the display flashes), or upload the firmware again.
If the controller is still failing, please contact us via <A href="dev.roboteq.com/dev1/contactus.html" target=_blank>www.roboteq.com/contactus.html to arrange a repair.
