No Status LED pattern

Hi,
I have connected for the first time the AX1500SCBP and the Status LED is OFF, no blink at all. The Power LED is ON.

Vmot and PwrC are connected to the positive terminal of a 12V battery - GND to the negative terminal.

No motors are connected.

The 15 pin connector is not yet connected to PC (plan was to connect).

Is this a normal behavior? Did I overlook something?

It is not normal but go ahead and connect to the PC. If you have no communication, the product would be damaged.

I connected to PC and the Status diode came up. Not sure yet does it work since I\'m having now problems with software.

The program closes during searching for device with the following error code: Run-time error \'13\' Type mismatch.

OK its communicating.
Software problem was solved.

Does anyone know what color led lights can legally be used as accents on a motorcycle?
I know that I\'ve seen people get pulled over at Bike Week for having red or blue led lights on their bikes, but I\'m wondering what colors are legal? Are white ones ok?
