HDC2450 drops offline (connected via USB) was created by Anonymous
Just powered up another new HDC2450 for the first time and attempted to upload a program for disk to the controller but the keep disconnecting from the controller... "Controller Lost" error. Additionally if I attempt to run the default program from the serial command on the run tab, I get the same problem. The controller drops off line. Any thoughts?

We know of situations where the USB connection is hard to maintain. It is never as bad as you describe but the fact is that USB is not a very resilient protocol.
Please try using the controller's serial port instead. RS232 is far more robust and we'll be able to go further in the diagnostic. You will need a USB to serial adapter on your PC, then connect pins 2, 3 and 5 from the 25-pin connector to the 9-pin connector.
