AX2550 display flashing, no power or control to motors

Hi Folks,

I have recently purchased the AX2550 controller to control two dc servo motors on fire truck, and in initial bench testing we have had the motors responding under power, but with no load, as expected. We are using Roborun via a PC to run up the motors.

We have now moved on to a rig test, where the motors are connected up to the load (a ladder loading/unloading gantry) Initial results were promising, but the motors have suddenly stopped responding, and the AX2550 display is flashing, (not scrolling) This can be cleared by re-setting or powering off the controller, but it starts flashing again after about 5 seconds. There is now no response from either motor. Any idea what might have gone wrong here?

As far as I am aware we have followed all the instructions correctly, we just seem to have a dead controller. The serial comms work ok, but there is just on motor control.

Thanks!!

Check with the PC utility if you can get communication, check the values of the internal voltages, temp, amps. Try operating the motors with the PC.
