MGS1600 Keeps rebooting after downloading script was created by petervanbeter
Hello,
I\'ve written a script for my MGS1600 that starts running when I power on the sensor. After the power on the sensor keeps rebooting.
In the script I execute an infinite loop whithout any delays. I suspect that that is the reason for the rebooting.
The problem however is that I cannot load a new script to the sensor because the sensor keeps rebooting. The sensor is not detected in MagSensor utillity but in hyperterminal I still get some output.
Is there a way out of this deadlock?
Thank you.

The probable cause is that you have a script that has an error that causes it to crash, and the configuration has the script in auto start. Let me know if this is not the case.
You will need to connect to the controller via the serial port. Then use a termial emulation program.
After you see the startup prompt: starting ... FID=Roboteq ... you have about 1s to send !r 0. This will kill the script before it starts. You need to be very quick. One way to do this surely is to prepare a txt file loaded with hundreds of line of \"!r 0\" and send it to the port as the sensor reboots.

Unfortunately the problem I had with the rebooting MGS1600 came back.
This time I could not download the program in the sensor, half way during the download process (over RS232) I got an error message. I tried to download a few times after which I powered down and powered up the sensor.
The solution of sending \"!r 0\" hundreds of times that did work previously does not work.
Another problem is that when I now connect the sensor via USB I get in Windows XP the message \"USB Device not recognized\", while was correctly recognized in the past.

With the controller off, try uninstalling the usb driver. After that is done, power on controller and see if the computer attempts to reinstall the driver.
