MDC2260C Closed loop count position Speed was created by corentin.barman
Hello,
I have a MDC2260C and I'm having some trouble to make both motors turn at the same speed in closed loop count position.
Both channels are configured exactly the same, but they don't react the same way.
I tried in open loop mode and had no problem. The motors turn in the right way. I tried in closed loop speed and both motors spin at the same speed and with the same acceleration and deceleration.
When I use them in count position mode, the motor on the channel 2 move at at a much slower speed than the other. I tried resetting and reconfiguring but it doesn't change anything. The distance (count) moved by each motor is the same and is correct. The problem doesn't come from the motors, because I tried to interchange them, and nothing changed. The error come from the channel and not from the motor. I tied sending !S command to change the speed. The speed change but is not the same on both motors.
I'm using MDC2260C.
Firmware : V1.3 RCB400 10/10/2013

Thanks for the quick reply.
Will the firmware issue be corrected soon, or will it take a much longer time ?
I know it's hard to give a date, but I'm working on a project who has a due date.
I just need to know if it will take days, weeks or months.
Thank you in advance.

bullshit, i ve the exact same problem. But i did send the email to Roboteq, 2months ago. the roboteq guy just insisted asking me to test again, try on another motor and said their firmware is symmetrical or smt like that. And now, they know the problem but dont care to reply. Luckily, i found a way to tweak around it.
im using sd2160
