AX2572 not responding to reset was created by tedfurlong
After a year or so of stable operation, the AX2550 (AX2572) stopped powering Channel 1. It is possible that the controller battery dropped close to 11V, I am not completely sure. After the controller battery recharged, I was able to enter programming mode to verify a few parameters. I then tried to operate the unit again with a joystick, but then neither channel responded. Now I cannot get the unit to self-test, program, or reset. It is locked up with a solid 8, and will not respond to Roborun. Main battery is showing 71.2V, controller power is showing 13.2V. Any ideas on how to get the unit to respond?

The output stage is damaged on one or more of the channels. This will need to be repaired. A solid 8 with a dot next to it, indicates that a short is detected on the output stage.
If you look on the sticker of the bottom plate of the controller, it should have the PCB revision date. If it is less than version 9.1, then you can send the controller under our repair program, and we will send you a refurbished 9.1 AX2550 controller. The AX2550 controller line is now obsolete and no longer available for sale.
If the controller is PCB 9.1, then it can be submitted for repair.
