MGS1600C Firmware problem?

Hi,

We have 2 MGS1600's. I updated one to the latest firmware (1.0, 2013/08/22, even though the download says v. 1.1). Now it doesn't detect the magnet strip anymore. It did before.
The other one is running firmware v. 1.0 2014/4/24 and is working fine. It seems the new firmware is buggy? Is it possible to reload the old firmware (from 2014/04/24)? If so, where can I download it?

We have not released a new version of firmware for the sensor. Not sure where you got the last one from. the last one available on the web was from Aug 2013.

Did you do a factory reset to defaults after doing the update?

My unit has the latest 8/22/13 firmware. there weren't any problems with my sensor reading the tape. Perhaps your sensor had a bad update?

I'm sorry, I mean 2013 for both drivers. But fact remains that it won't find the tape after an update. I have updated it over USB using the .dfu file (the .bin won't work for some reason).
The RoboMag tool sees the sensor and I am able to change and save settings, so as far as that goes, it seems the firmware is working properly.

Can I download the april version of the firmware somewhere, just to see if that solves anything?

Never mind, somehow flashing the firmware a third time solved it.

Looks like you didn't try "calibrate to zero". This will recalibrate the sensors and clear out any false detections and status the sensor may be issuing.

That might be it, although I do believe I did a calibration after the other firmware flashes. But I'll keep that in mind, thanks.
