Connecting MDC2230 to pc was created by JHolov295
I recently acquired the RoboteQ MDC2230 and I am trying to configure it using the Roborun+ software. I have downloaded the windows 8-8.1 drivers. However when I connect the board to my pc using a usb cable none of the icon lights light up, like usb, stat or pwr and in my Device Manager it says that there is a unknown device. So I was wondering if anyone else had this problem and how can I fix it so that roborun will recognize my device.
Ps. I have also tired hooking up power through vmot and power control. This light up the PWR LED but still wont connect to my computer.

The controller will not be powered via the USB cable you need to connect it to power first via PwrCtrl or VMOT.
When you have the controller powered you should see the Pwr LED illuminated solid and the Status LED flashing. Then when you connect USB you should see the USB LED illuminated. If the USB LED does not illuminate try a different USB cable, port and/or a different PC. If the controller still is showing as Unknown Device in your device manager then try rebooting your computer or trying a different computer. "Unknown Device" is indicative of the proper USB drivers not being present.
