MGS1600 RS232 issue was created by Mendes
Hi everyone,
I've been successfuly using a MGS1600 in my robot (using 232 communication)
I started having some stability issues and was lead to believe something was wrong in my side of the cable. Switched the plug but lost any connection since then.
I can communicate with the sensor via USB but not through RS232.
Any ideias of how to solve the issue?

Can you please provide some more details as to what exactly the issue is that you are experiencing?
Are you able to communicate between the MagSensor PC Utility and the sensor via RS232? Do you use the main cable to power your sensor (ie pins 14 and 6)? If so when you apply power here does the sensor turn on or does it only turn on when USB is connected?

The problem is that I can't comunicate through Rs232. Regardless of being through PC or PLC (what I normally use).
No, I'm not able to do it. I can comunicate but only via USB.
Yes. I use the main cable. Vcc on pin 14, ground on 5. Vcc is somewhere between 22 - 28V. The sensor turns on. The problem seems to be in the comunication.
