how to update garmin device

I purchased a Garmin's navigation system device recently and connected that with my computer but it needed to update. So I searched many websites for the solution and learned about www.garmin.com/express Updates from mapsupdates.org/www-garmin-com-express-update/. But I couldn't apply the process. Can anyone help me to apply for this process?
