3550 Encoder problems was created by ron
<P style="MARGIN: 0px">We have triple checked the wiring to the two encoder modules from the 3550 yet we get 5v on encoder 1 channel B, and .08v where 5v is supposed to be.

The published pinout in the manual is correct. If you want to be sure, you may probe the 8 metal wires that are on top of the RJ45 connector. The wire that is the closest from the 15-pin connector is pin 1. If you find the +5V and ground at the right place on the connector, but not on the encoder, the wiring may be wrong or there may be a bad connection inside the connector
