Is that firmware version for the 2500 or the 2550, because I can not get it to work. If it is for the 2500 then I must be doing something wrong still, because I can not get it to save to the controller still.

Thanks,

V1.3 works for both the AX2500 and the AX2550. Please report where you are having difficulties: Cannot update the software, or the controller does not properly works with the new software.

I got the firmware to update, but am unable to communicate through rs232 using the hyper terminal. When I connect to the controller, I dont get a the message that the manual says you should get, all that I get is a repeating W, ie WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW, etc.

When I try using RC to move the motor forward/reverse, I only get the forward signal, but no motor movement.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Clayton

If you get W's every second, this means that the controller is in RS232 mode with the watchdog enabled.

If this happens after you uploaded the new software, this may be because you have not reset or powered down/up the controller prior to launching hyperterm.

After resetting, you should read "no ctrl" on the display, indicating that the controller is in RC mode, waiting for a signal. When a valid RC signal is present, the "no ctrl" message disappears and you should be able to controll the motors.

Ok...I have gotten the software and firmware versions to work, but now am unable to get the motors to operate on either channel in either direction. I am trying to control them using the hyperterm interface. The controller is getting the command(I can see that it is because the 7 segment display is changing, and I an getting a "+" after I send the command). Any help would be great!

Thanks,
Clayton
