Simple programming

Simple programming was created by craig
I'm a rookie, so be gentle!

I have an AX2850 hooked up to a motor and working fine using Roborun. I've got the maximum RPM set to what I want, etc. But I'd like to have the controller make the motor come on for 3 seconds at that maximum speed (i.e. -127 speed), and then stop.

I'm not a programmer and I don't own VB, etc. Is there a simple set commands I can send thru the Console in Roborun. Is there a list of commands the controller will accept via the console and/or hyperterminal?

Thanks,

Craig

The controller accepts no such commands

Microsoft offers a free version of Visual Basic. See <A href="msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/express/aa718406.aspx" target=_blank>msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/express/aa718406.aspx

There are a couple of Visual Basic examples on our web site at <A href="dev.roboteq.com/dev1/techressources.html" target=_blank>dev.roboteq.com/dev1/techressources.html. Try the VB6 version first.

We have not yet tried them with the free version of VB but will be happy to assist you if you try and encounter difficulties. Note that there may be limitations in the free version that would make it impossible to run.

Craig,

I am a computer programmer, and use VB6 all the time. If you can create a simple program, I can compile it for you. We have VB6 Enterprise Edition, which has no limitations like the free version has. Programming the controller with VB isn't something I intend to need to do, so I haven't really researched it.
