Is there a way to change the com port the RoborunServer uses? was created by sidekick
Hi, I want to remotely run the RoboRun software on a laptop that is resident on my robot. The laptop COM1 cannot be used. I had to assign COM port 5 (though I could use port 2) for use for the controller. I can run RoboRun directly on the laptop since I can change the port number, but I want to run RoboRunServer instead but cannot figure out how to change the port number that the server uses.
Can you tell me how to change the port number that the RoboRunServer uses?
Thank you,
Sidekick.

The server is set to com1 and cannot be change. We will recompile a few other versions with different com ports and post them for download.

Wow, thank you, Cosma. That would be great, I'll check back in the downloads section for the additions. Thanks for the great customer service!

A zip file containing 8 versions of the server program (COM1 to COM8) is available at <A href="dev.roboteq.com/dev1/download/RoboServers.zip" target=_blank>www.roboteq.com/download/RoboServers.zip
Copy these files in the Program Files > Roboteq folder. Run the one you need according to your COM port availability.
