MDC2250C Motor Controller USB Driver Uninstalled on Windows 8

I have been unable to get my MDC2250C USB driver to install. When I plug in the USB cable for the device Windows 8 sees that a device has been plugged in but is unable to install a driver. Is there a driver update for Windows 8. This controller costs $385.00! I can\'t believe there is not a valid driver for an operating system in wide release. Please help me. Thanks! (I have attached a screen shot of the device manager events dialog.)

This is the first such problem reported with windows 8 for the MDC2250.
