Hi,

Im trying to download the roborun software. I get a message saying that the install was succefful. When I click on the Robo-run set up the software starts but after a moment the following message comes up:

component \'strip.ocx\' or one of its dependancies is not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid.

Can someone please advise how I fix this?

Thanks

There is a link to the strip file that is missing on the website page where you downloaded the roborun software. It says fix for windows 7, and after you download it, it has instructions on where to place the file.

Thanks for this. I\'ve now got the Roborun successfully loaded. Great. I now have 3 issues:

1. When I open the software I get the following message:

\'Could not open communication to port (com1). Port may not exit or be used by another application.\'

When I try and select other ports via the software I am told that all of them are unavailalbe. I am using a USB to RS232 converter.

2. Basic I know, but do I need to have a separate power source for the board when making the changes?

3. I have a variety of batteries which all appear to be chanrged. That said, when I put attach one of the batteries, the power light blinks very quickly. Does this mean the battery is faulty?

Thanks

1: if you get a port is used, then check your task manager and see if there are more than one instance of Roborun. If so, you\'ll need to restart the computer. Also in Roborun, make sure that the comport select matches what the computer assigned it.

2:You don\'t need a separate power source to make any changes to the unit. You can use either the power control or vmot to positive terminal of battery.

3: The way to know what is going on, is to make sure that the controller is connected to Roborun. I think that the controller flashes led quickly upon startup and then will go into idle mode which is a blinking led at about 1 sec intervals.

This link is no longer valid and I'm experiencing the same problem. Could you provide a new link or a new solution to this existing problem?

I've attached the ocx file here.

Remember, this file is for the old Roborun for AX family controllers.
