MDC2230 : Does not work as expected since firmware upgrade!

8 years 10 months ago #29529887 by psykokwak
The motor controller is connected to our MCU using the RS232 link and everything worked well until now...
I upgraded the firmware to the latest version (v14 - 081214) and now we have the controller that starts something like a motor internal test procedure when power up (not every time). The motors starts to spin from reverse maximum speed to forward maximum speed one after the other even if we do not send any data from our MCU.
If we disconnect the serial link before power up and connect it back after, every things work well.

Check our controller configuration in attachment.

I would like to downgrad the MDC2230 controller firmware to make some tests.
Do you have a link to provide me to download previous firmware versions ?

This would be a self test function that was implemented from the 3/11/14 firmware all the way to the 8/12 firmware. It occurs when the RS232 lines are shorted upon power up.

Try powering up via just the power control and round lines.

Please try this beta firmware and test thoroughly to make sure there aren't any problems.

Thanks for your fast answer!
Unfortunalty I'm not able to flash using the COM way (I don't know why!)
Could you send me the DFU firmware ?

Best regards.
