HLB1672 and Roborun+ issue

5 years 11 months ago #29532942 by jppedroni
I'm using Roborun to configure a HLB1672 in Closed Loop Count Position mode. It works great, if I send !P commands via the console tab the motor responds as expected.
Nevertheless, when I click on the scripting tab the motor starts spinning wildly until the Emergency stop button is pressed.

Any thoughts?

Hello Blake,
Thanks for your quick response.
Driver’s model is HBL1672. Firmware version: v1.5 RCB500 10/01/2015.
Roborun+ version: Rev 1.7 10/27/2016.
The motor is a Faulhaber BLDC model 4490 H 024 BS. Attached to the motor is a HEDS 5540 encoder which is used as feedback sensor.
I attached the configuration file and a video that shows the issue.
The commands I’m using in the video are:
!C 1 0
!P 1 1000
!P 1 0
As you can see, the driver responds correctly to the commands sent from the console tab, and changes its beahviour when moving to the scripting tab. When I change tabs the motor begins spinning, so I have to hit the Emergency Stop button in RoboRun+ to stop it.
After stopped, I send the !C 1 0 command to reset the encoder and hit Resume, and the system goes back to normal operation.
I noticed that, when moving from the console tab to the scripting tab and back, a series of lines appears in the “in data” textbox. I’m also attaching that log.
Hope you can help me with this…
Regards,
Juan

Thank you for sending that info. First thing is that you have an outdated firmware version on your controller. Please first try updating the firmware on your controller to our latest release, it is available on our website, it will be the HBL16XX firmware file:

dev.roboteq.com/dev1/index.php/support/downloads

If the issue persists after updating the firmware please let me know.

I'm using Windows 10 and the DFU drivers provided with Roborun+ software are not compatible with this version. Windows won't install it because it has no digital signature.

I managed to update the driver's firmware installing Roborun+ in a Win XP environment.
Problem solved!
