DFU driver for firmware update was created by DL
Hello,
I am trying to update the firmware of my MDC2230 from 1.7 to 1.8 by USB. When I enter in the DFU mode there are not devices available. So I followed the tutorial:
dev.roboteq.com/dev1/index.php/113-suppo...q/402-dfu-driver-faq
to manually install the DFU driver by using the one in the Roborun Plus folder. I tried with both Windows 7 and Windows 10 but the computer is not able to locate the driver inside the Roborun plus Folder.
I am using Roborun 1.8.
Should I use serial connection ?
Thanks

Yes using an RS232 would circumvent the issue

DFU devices should automatically be recognized by windows. If you are having trouble with this than there might be something wrong with your windows USB drivers, or you might have some restricted permissions on your windows user account.
For the quickest solution, I would recommend trying to update the controller's firmware using a different computer. You can also use an RS232 adapter to change the controllers firmware via a comport.
Edit: Just a follow up - if it ends up being a driver related issue we have this FAQ with steps to correct the issue.
