Issue with BND calibration

Hi

I am having issues with the BND fault on my motor. I am using the SBL2360 to control a BLDC motor in open loop.

In sinusoidal settings, I am using a 1000 PPR encoder as sinusoidal angle sensor. When using anything other than encoder for sinusoidal angle sensing, the whole motor starts shaking and getting unstable - this is not my main problem right now:

When starting the motor and booting the Roborun+ program, the motor makes the +90,-90,+... electrical degree jumps as specified in the manual when using encoders as angle sensors. The motor then works for 20-ish seconds where I can send commands and the motor moves as desired and then it suddenly stops and the error "BND fault" comes up.

When going to sinusoidal angle offset and changing the value to f.x. 5 degrees and then back to 0, the motor works again with no probelms indefinitely, but every time I start the Roborun+ program and start the auto BND, the same error occurs.

I have an angle zero adjust of 0, since I have tested the offsets and every other angle results in janky movement and high current draw.

I have also tried changing the Reference seek power with no luck.

Does anybody have an idea for a solution to the problem?

My current setup is attached and I am using the most current firmware for the controller and most current version of Roborun+.

We have a beta firmware that makes sinusoidal setup much easier. Email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and we will provide a copy.
