Hyperterm output/Updating the controller was created by pmartin
I went through the update process and brought the controller up to v1.7b. When I turned it on with the Roboteq hyperterm configuration it printed the folling messages, not the standard startup one listed in the manual:
RoboEnc v1.0 04/17/04

:0000000000FF00009B9A06630000
.... it continues to print this until I dsiconnect. The Roborun utility shows that the update completed successfully, but this appears to be running v1.0! Are there changes that need to be made to the hyperterm config?

The continous string of data you see is normal.
It is the controller's internal parameters (temperature, amps, command, pwmout, ...) for data logging purposes.
It is automatically and continuously sent after power up when in RC or Analog mode.
To see the OK prompt only, you must operate the controller in RS232 mode.
You can do this either by configuring the controller in RS232 mode (using the PC utility) or by sending 10 consecutive "Cariage Return" characters while in RC or analog mode.
