I\'m using my HDC2450 to control 2 24VDC motors in closed-loop position mode. My setup will require the 24VC power supply to be routed through a slip ring. I was talking with a sales rep from a slip ring company today, and he asked for the maximum inrush current of the motor controller.
Does anyone know the max inrush current for the HDC2450 motor controller? From my small amount of research, it looks like AC motors can draw several times their full load currents. Is there any inrush current associated with DC motors? If so, how does it compare to the full load current?
