Digital output to power RC receiver

I\'d like to ask you a question about my HDC2450 controller: are there any problems if I enable a digital output in order to power a Futaba RC receiver?
I know that I can directly use 14 or 25 pins which already provide +5V, but I need to use a digital output to do this because in this way I can power on the RC receiver by enabling the digital output with my C application.

I want to know if there can be problems using a digital output to power a RC receiver.
