Power sdc2150 with a 240VA transformer

I\'m using a 240VA transformer which can outputs 10A at 24V connected to a bridge rectifier to power a sdc215. I use this controller to move a linak linear actuator which require Max 10A at 24V.
Can you tell me if this configuration can damage the transformer,please? Can i use the driver in this way?

The problem would go back to the rectifier should that go bad. The transformer at worst I can think of would open up most likely at one of the legs from overcurrent draw should that happen.

The controller needs at least 12V to work, so as long as it is fed the 12V to whatever voltage the controller is rated for, it should be ok.

What should I do in order to avoid damages to the rectifier and the transformer?

I do not have any DC source, so I have to use a transformer and a rectifier to power the sdc2150.

You can always get a dc power supply on the internet. I\'m not sure what kind of protective measures can be taken to prevent damage to the transformer or rectifier. My thoughts is that the rectifier will be the first to go before the transformer will.

Other than that, batteries are the only other dc supply solution i can think of.

Can you suggest me a good DC power supply, please?

My linear actuator takes 20A at max at 24V and I\'m using your sdc2150.

I already tried with transformer and rectifier and the rectifier damaged after one day as you supposed.

This is what I found via a google search. However this is an unregulated linear supply. Not sure if this is what you are looking for.

In the sdc2150 datasheet, there is written:

Beware that regenerative braking can create high voltage at the controller\'s power inputs. Use the controller
only with batteries. See user manual for special precautions when using a power supply.

So, is it not possible to use the driver without the batteries?
I can only use a AC-DC power supply without battery in parallel.

The power supply do not take in reverse current. If the motors are feeding regenerative voltage back, it would have to be fed back into a battery.

You can put 12V batteries in series to get the 24V.
