Battery and regeneration

Hi,

I'm here because I've got a problem with the regeneration,
When comes the timesthan my robot decelerate, I've got a spike of current
which conduct me over the edge of my mdc2230 when my battery is fully charge
(voltage almost 29.4V).
I've seen the AN90727 is there an other way than plug another battery ?

best regards

There are several options for conditions in which regeneration can not flow back into a rechargeable battery. Incorporating some sort of regeneration clamp into your circuit between the power supply and controller is one of these. Simply incorporating some large filtering electrolytic caps in the same part of a circuit works just as well. You might find this article from our applications blog helpful .
