Hi!
Are you supposed to connect a safety contactor as NC or NO to the Vmot connection if controlled by the controllers own IO?
If I understand correctly there will be problem as the coil will not stay energised and keep it in this position since the newest models of controllers do not take input power from the powerctrl input anymore if using a NC contactor. Also if the relay would be NO, does the controller get enough power thru the parallel resistor to keep the I/O on?

I apologize for the late reply. There is no advantage over NC vs NO, you can choose which to connect the motor controllers digital output and configure the output accordingly as best fits your circuit. We have never changed the way our PwrCtrl works so I'm not quite sure what you are referring to. As long as voltage is applied to PwrCtrl the controllers logic will remain powered, independent of VMOT.
