2550 with OOPics

2550 with OOPics was created by Darrell
Has anyone successfully used an OOPic with this controller? I have an OOPic-R and I'm beginning to think another controller may be easier as I've yet to get this to work. Granted, I've not had a ton of time but the two just aren't talking. Anyone with positive experience here would be appreciated.

<P style="MARGIN: 0px">SEROUT SPin, Bmode, ["!", RFWD, HEX2 127. CR ]
<P style="MARGIN: 0px">where
<P style="MARGIN: 0px">SPin = 16
<P style="MARGIN: 0px">Bmode = 24816 9600 baud, 7 bit, even polarity, inverted
<P style="MARGIN: 0px">RFWD = "B" can be a, A, b, B for motor selection and speed
<P style="MARGIN: 0px">and the 127 is the speed with 0 = stop and 127 = full speed
<P style="MARGIN: 0px">
<P style="MARGIN: 0px">Of course you must send new commands at least every second to keep the watch dog chained.

<P style="MARGIN: 0px">We have two sumos working with this arrangement, the 150 pounder and the 75 pounder. They each took second in their classes at the National Robotics Challange, High School level this last April.
