Encoder upgrade

<P style="MARGIN: 0px">I'm considering having the encoder upgrade done to my 2550. I need at least 1 click per millimeter of motion, 20 or 30 clicks preferred. Will Roboteq's encoder work within these parameters? Thanks so much,

The encoder would not know anything about the travelled distance but only issue pulses per fraction of rotation. A typical encoder will give you more than 500 counts per rotation so you should not have a problem measuring 1mm travels. Just make sure you use an encoder with quadrature output (see manual).
