Firmware v1.9 works on all controller version includes a few but important
fixes to the code:


1-Temperature-only based current limiting:
Current is now allowed to flow at the max preset current limit for as
long as the Power Transistor temperature is below 80oC. Earlier version
would allow operation at max current only for a certain time.

2-Modified Temperature limiting algorithm
Current starts limiting at 80oC and is sharply reduced as temperature
continues rises with total cut off at 100oC. Earlier version
temperature limiting would operate erratically.

3-Enabled LED on AX1500
LED now displays different flashing patterns depending whether
controller is configured in RC, RS232 or Analog mode

4-Analog inputs 3 and 4 enabled in AX1500
It is now possible to use analog feedback while in analog command mode

Cool! Does this work with all shipping controllers?

One request: Figure out a way to change the left/right balance control range. Sure there are 8 steps in either direction but the amount of change is often too much. I'd like to see a percentage from say 1 to 15%.

The new firmware works with all controllers.

How does this alter the thermal cutoff point in a 2550 versus a 2550HE?

When I try to run Roborun I get a Roboconf message stating it failed to load control 'Strip' from Strip.ocx

Try uninstalling Roborun. Then delete the Roboteq folder from C:Program Files. Run the installation again.
