I have a AX2550HE unit with attached Optical encoder module that I intend to use in a Robotwars/University-project.
To controll stearing and propulsion of the robot, a computer on the robot will continously have to evaluate the two motors individual RPMs (travelled distance), temperatures and comands send via the RC input.
My short, maybe obvius, question is if it is possible to use the computer in the actual controller to maintain those tasks, or if the only option is to let an external computer take care of the input evaluation and send a normal PWM-signal to controller.
Why I ask, it would save some money and much valuable space in the actuall robot not having to install an extra computer.
