Hello friends, I want to know if ax500 will control 2 axis flight cabin winth x-sim software or something similar. Someone said me that it´s imposible cos ax500 can not receive data by rs232 in realtime.

Thanks

The ax500 does accept RS232 commands.

However this will not be sufficient in your case because the data that would be output from the PC would not be directly understandable by our controllers

<div>While using the AX500 in serial (RS-232) control can I hook potetiometers on it to also have closed-loop position control?</div> <div> </div> <div>Regards

Let me lighten up a little more the question:<BR><BR>I know that you can connect a potetiometer on AX500 to have closed-loop position control over the motor. Now, while its connected like this, the commands we send to the AX500 controller thru serial RS-232, are translated into positions automatically?<BR>
We don't want to have external position control but position that can be handled internally inside the AX500!

You can connect a feedback potentiometer and have the controller take care of the positioning.

Note that if your cabin is to carry and move a person, the ax500 is probably underpowered. Use and AX1500 or higher.
