Can a single ax3500 be setup to have 2 absolute encoders controlling 2 individual motors on separate channels?

The AX3500 has inputs for two quadrature encoders. There are two inputs for each encoders and the position information gathered is a relative information to a "0" counter value, typically reset at power up.

Please describe what is the output of your absolute encoder.

It is a 360 degree use a absolute encoder with 0 to 5 volts output. This is all the information I have right now. I have requested more information on the controller. We are trying to interface two sets of controllers with two motors that will be used to rotate trolling motors.

Then, there should be no problem if you are operating the controller in RC or RS232 mode.

The controller must be configured in Closed Loop Position mode with Analog feedback.

The two channels will operate independently.
