hello, im trying to put a sensor on my robot with one channel as speed and the other as position. i have the ax3500.
i am currently trying to get figure 70 in the manual using the potentiometer, however im having some difficulties getting it to work right with my robots setup and would like to see if it would be easier to use a hall effect sensor.
ive never messed with one before and was wondering how i use it in this situation?
do i wire it like a pot? (figure 70)
where and how do i put the sensor?
is there a specific type i need? (i would like to use the sealed type in particular)
thank you
seesoe

Potentiometer is usualy the simplest to connect to the controller.
Hall sensors can be used but you would need a part that outputs 2.5V when centered and goes from 0 to 5V end to end.
If you have such a device, then you can wire it just like shown for the potentiometer
