I have a full sized R/C vehicle that operates with dual motors and uses tank steering with an HDC2450. I am designing a new model that will use a single motor/transaxle for propulsion with automotive type steering in the front using a linear actuator to steer with. Right now I can use a single joystick for both throttle and steering. My question is when I use one channel of the 2450 for throttle and the other for the steering is it practical to stay with a single joystick for this or would I be better off using two joysticks, one for throttle and the other pure steering command? Hoping someone out there has the experience with R/C to steer me (pun intended)in the right direction.
