Maximum input voltage for digital input SDC2130

12 years 3 months ago #29525703 by rfrancis
The specification sheets for the SDC2130 define the absolute maximum input voltage for the Din as 15V (p. 6) and on page 8, under the sensor signal spec, it says the digital 1 level is 3-15V.

However, the NxtGen manual seems to define the max input voltage as 5V.

Will running with a digital 1 at 12V cause any short or long term damage? This is in line with the spec sheet but not, it seems, with the generic manual.

12V would be much more convenient in my circuit.

thanks,
Richard

The information on the datasheet is specific to the controller model you use. When the information is not consistent with the User Manual, the datasheet values prevail. So you are OK with 12V at the inputs.
