how do we use Brushless motor Torque Mode

Hi I am using roboteq dual brushless motor controller. there is a function where I can configure to motor to be in torque mode. What are the necessary input sensor and configuration that I need for this torque mode configuration>

There are 2 ways you can do this.

First is to apply full power and change the current limit on the fly. If you are driving the controller from an external microcomputer, this is fairly simple to do.

The other is to enable the torque mode. This is a new, preliminary version of the feature. You will need the latest version of the PC utility and controller firmware from our web site.

In this mode, a command value of 0 to 1000 will attempt to make the motor spin so that motor current is 0 to the Amps limit you set in the configuration. The PID will need to be tuned. Beware that since the command and motor amps are signed, a command of -100 while the motor was moving forward, for example, will try to make the motor regenerate current to make it slow down and eventually reverse direction.

Hi Thanks for your advice. However I have convert onto torque mode. tried to change between 0-1000 but nothing happen. how can I make the motor move? is there anything missing which i have not done?
