Need a motor controller for a pitching machine

I am in need of a motor controller for the design of a pitching machine. I see the input voltage requirements of the AX1500 and the AX500, but how many amps are required at the input and are there any recommended motors to be used with these controllers? Also what type of programming platform is used for coding the controller?

Our controllers will work with all permanent magnet motors rated between 12 and 36 Volt battery. There is a very ample choice of motors, as this kind of motor is very popular.
In case you need to create complex routines through the motor, the best platform is a PC running Windows. You can download examples of source code from our web site.
The controller will accept input through the RS232 port.
