Need a controller to handle 9A/12VDC was created by Anonymous
Looking for a motor controller than can handle 9A of 12VDC, gets its speed setpoint from an RC receiver, has an encoder input to measure speed, and controls speed via a PID. Do you have such a controller?

We do have such a controller; it is the AX500. You can order it online at www.roboteq.com

From your website it seems like the AX500SC model has the optical encoder input. Does this model have the same quadrature encoder type input that the AX3500 does? Is the PID similar to the 3500 as well?

The AX500 does not accept the digital encoder card. The AX1500 does. PID mechanism is the same on all models.

Just to clarify, I would need to order the 1500 + the encoder card, or I could just order a 3500 which already has the encoder capability in it?

You would have to order either the AX1500+encoder card or the AX3500. The AX3500 is a better proposition, since it has all included.
