Can't locate ax3500 on PC (using USB to serial adapter) was created by Anonymous
All my computers are new. I do not have a PC with a serial port. I am using a USB to serial port adaptor made by airlink. When using the adapter I can't locate the ax3500? What are my options? I am running XP Signed

USB to serial adapters are very commonly used. It should work. Which COM port number gets assigned to your adapter? Does roborun manage to open the assigned COM port?

It is assigning comports fine. It only works on 3 and 5. It just can connect to either. If it won't connect to 3 or 5 is there something I can do to free up a better port?

3 or 5 are just fine.
I assume you have clicked on "change com port" on roborun and selected you USB adapter.
Click on the console tab in roborun. If roborun manages to open your com port you should be able to see the raw data that come out of the controller.
Try a different pc or adapter. At this point you need to figure out which part is faulty in your configuration.
