vbl 2350 and 48V LiFePo4 was created by domatau
Hello,
VBL2350 max voltage is 50V.
Is it possible to use this controller with a 48V LiFePo4 battery that have in fact a nominal tension of 52 volts ?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Patrick.

The vbl2350 overvoltage limit can be raised up to 52V. This is above the specs of the 50V capacitors used in the product. Capacitors can generally withstand a few % extra voltage without damage but operating above 50V is outside the specification and therefore we cannot formally certify the controller above that range.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but my question is basically the same.
What is the max safe Series count that can be safely used with the vbl2350 and LiFePo4 cells? Specifically the Headway 12ah 38140S cells. Is 15S ok? Thank you

The answer is the same. The voltage from your battery must be 50V max or only a little over. Then, depending on your application, you must also be careful with regeneration.
