Detect encoder fail was created by edmodi
Hi, I\'m trying detect a encoder fail wire conecction because my controller application should be very fast and encoder fail could be dangerous. I tried the Loop Error Detection option but 250ms is very litte time error and 500ms is very big.

Exist another way to detect this disconnection, for example feedback or error loop command?

I hope explained well my problem

Thanks

The loop error choices you see are the only available.

To do something faster, or to create different rules, you can write a little script with Microbasic.

Ok but what variables use for it, loop error, feedback?
I haven\'t very clear which indicated each

Thanks

You can chose. It depends on which strategy you want to use to do the detection.

You can also read the counter value and look for how many counts were added between a given time interval.
