HDC2472S proper wiring diagram for motors

9 years 8 months ago #29528225 by Sunin
So I was researching the manuals for the hdc2475 (same as the hdc2450) and the user manuals references that the wiring has to be done in parallel and to refer to the data sheet. I pull up the data sheet on the the web page and it only has the normal 2 channel wiring diagram. Considering each of these cost 750 plus I absolutely want to make sure I wire this correctly. So am I correct then in thinking both green wires need to be combined and both white and then tied to the single motor. I would like a diagram if possible.

Thank you

P.s. I have two controllers one for each me0709, so I am looking for how to hook up one motor to one controller since these are S builds

Yes that is correct. The 2 greens are tied together and the 2 whites are tied together. One will act as the + channel and the other as the - channel.

Thanks I thought so but I was not willing to gamble with 1500 in controllers lol

Also, I believe you will need at least 15V applied to the power in order for this controller to turn on.

Just s we are clear on what u mean here... Turning on meaning drive batteries, ie the black and red wires? I am using 6 x 12v. Or are u talking the separate backup power via the yellow and black wires? Thanks for clarifying and helping me avoid any possible frustration

Either of the 2 lines. For use with motor output, it would be the Red and black wires.

If you put 2 of the 12V batteries in series to make 24V, you should be ok.

Ok you are not instilling me with confidence when u reply by saying you believe and you should be good. Either that is what I need or it is not. I don\'t fancy buying two more batteries just to find out it was not necessary. So are u positive that is what I\'ll need then?

You will need at least 15V or more for the controller to turn on and operate.

If you wire this voltage to the power control line(yellow wire and ground), controller will turn on and you can connect to Roborun+ to make configuration changes only.

If you connect this same 15V or more on the Red and Black wires, the controller will turn on and you will be able to operate your motors.

If you have less than 15V applied, the controller will not turn on or function.
