Not able to detect controller using Roborun GUI

Hi,
I downloaded Roborun GUI and installed it to configure my controller, but GUi is not able to detect the controller. Can anyone help me how to configure this to detect my controller. I tried to communicate serially using HyperTerminal and was working fine. when tried doing the same using Roborun GUI its not detecting the controller. Help is appreciated. Thanks in advance

Are you connected via usb or serial? What is the operating system that your computer is using?

I am using serial converted to usb and connecting to laptop, windows 8 OS.

Are you using Roborun or Roborun+?

I tried with both. Roborun+ is not detecting my COM port. Roborun was able to detect my COM port, but detecting my controller.

What is the controller you are using? If it is an old AX family controller, that runs on the Roborun utility. If you are on the next gen controller line up, then it is the Roborun+.

Also, what is the serial to usb converter you are using?
