SBL1360 USB Communication Issues

Hey guys. So I've tried to google this as much as possible but I'm not finding an answer to my problem. I just recently got the SBL1360 and went to plug it in via USB but my computer doesn't seem to be registering anything, as if the board isn't sending anything. I tried to download some virtual COM port drivers and a USB driver for a similar board but I couldn't find one for this exact board. I've read that as soon as you plug in power, it should start downloading the drivers, but I don't think mine does. It is plugged into power. The only indication I get that it is working is the power led comes on. Nothing else. It also doesn't show up in my device manager on my computer. I'm running Win 8. I had a friend also plug it into his Linux machine but it also didn't register any USB activity. Anybody got an idea of what's up? TIA

I followed the pdf instructions for disabling signature enforcement but I'm still not seeing an unknown device in my Device Manager.

Did you install the drivers? It was the other attachment in the same post.

Well, I installed the dpinst_amd64.exe file, however, it will not let me install the dpinst_ia64.exe and dpinst_x86.exe files. My system is 64-bit so I don't think I need the dpinst_x86 but I'm not sure about the dpinst_ia64. Would installing amd64 prevent installation of ia64? Still I am not seeing anything in Device Manager.

Okay, so I connected Tx and Rx pins on the controller to my USB port via a USB-to-RS232 adapter and sampled the lines with a logic analyzer. I tried to update the firmware and recorded the initial reset signal sent by Roborun+, however, the controller did not respond to the reset signal and the update timed out. So this may rule out the drivers as an issue. At this stage, the controller is not providing any kind of response.

Only 1 of the 3 exe files should work; the other 2 won't and will pop saying it won't work.

Once you get the drivers installed, then it should allow the controller to then install the USB drivers.

One of the drivers installs fine but the controller is still unresponsive. Refer to my latest post above.

The other controller connect via usb. Then in device manager where you have the drivers not recognized, simply uninstall the drivers. After the bad driver is uninstalled, then unplug USB and plug back in. It should try to reinstall the driver.

Sorry I misread.

With the serial, go to the comport update in the console tab. then click on manual comport selection in the top left and then select the right com port you are using on the right side.

Then look for the update file and then click program. If it says waiting for device to restart, just simply power off the controller and back on. It should try to reflash the controller.
