Encoder Speed RPM

Hello,

I am using a HBL1650. I have a question here. What does the value of Encoder Speed RPM in Roborun represent? I know it depends on the PPR that can be configured in the configuration page and that one pulse represents 4 count. But in my application the value of Encoder Speed RPM and Hall Speed RPM is not the same.

I have done some calculation with the motor voltage frequency and the number of poles to deduce the rotor speed and it is almost the same as the Hall Speed RPM.

How should I configure PPR so that the Encoder Speed RPM shows the exact value as the Hall Speed RPM?

The hall speed measured are based on the number of pole pairs. The encoder has a much higher resolution than the hall sensor, so there is going to be a difference in the readings. The encoder should be used with the correct PPR number.

OK thanks. If I configure the PPR to 100, and on the Roborun windows the EncoderSpeedRPM is written 35000, does that mean the motor RPM is 35000/100 which is 350 revolution per minute?

take a look at page 52 and 53 of the user manual for explanation.
