I understand from your sales department that there is a v2.1 and v2.2 hardware revision of the FBL2360 motor controller.
However, I cannot find any documentation on the hardware differences. Where can I find this information?

These are PCB revisions with no functional differences in this particular case.

So if we want to futureproof our products with potential sensorless operation, we should order a v2.2.

No,
there will be version 2.3. In order to use version 2.2 some caps will need to be removed. We are close, but we have some minor issues before releasing. However, if you want to try on your set-up let us know.
