Hello do you hear me ,
How a PLC is able to read the mgnetic tape position via a magnetic sensor ?
I know that there is many way to interface between them(serial , pwm , multiple pwm)but other that knowing that they exist no information is present.
Can you please help me its urgent.I'm using siemens s7 1200.
Thanks.

Hello,
In the datasheet in table 2 you can see the pinout map. And in the following sections below:
- RS232 Connection: Connect via RS232 and use the runtime queries and commands (check section "Command Reference Summary") in order to communicate with the sensor.
- PWM Output: You can get the track position using the PWM out.
- Analog Output: You can get the track position using the analog out.
- Track Present Outputs, Left and Right Markers Outputs: You can get marker and tape state using digital outputs.
- Fork Left and Fork Right Inputs: You can select the left or right tape using digital inputs.
