Long wires from controller to RC receiver (HBL1660)

On page 53 of the manual it states that we should use a ferrite core (aka "choke") when connecting an encoder with a wire longer than 2 ft.

Does this apply to RC receivers? I need to elevate my RC receiver (connected to 2 or 3 pulse channels) for better range. The length of the wire will be 3ft (1m). It's a 5-conductor wire, carrying power to the RC receiver and carrying 3 channels from the receiver to the controller's 3 pulse inputs. Should I use a ferrite core in this case as well? Any knowledge/feedback in this regard would be appreciated.

RC is a digital signal so it is more toleant to noise. However if you see that it is not working properly you can use a ferrite core as well.
